ppc digital marketing strategist
I currently work full-time as a PPC Digital Marketing Strategist at Versature, a SaaS based business phone company based out of Ottawa. In this role, I manage the monthly marketing budget for paid advertising and other lead generation streams. By managing relationships with vendors, analyzing Salesforce reports, and constantly fine tuning and optimizing advertising spend, I am able to help the marketing team surpass inbound lead targets month after month.
After I started planning my wedding in 2019, I realized that many of the outstanding wedding vendors I was booking could use some marketing expertise to help them book more of their perfect fit wedding clients. So, I banded together with fellow marketing freelancer Hannah to take on this innovative and high energy industry under our new brand, Something Blue Marketing + Design.
bride to be and wannabe Joanna Gaines
In 2019, my boyfriend of 10 years (high school sweethearts over here!) proposed. Will and I were so excited to celebrate our wedding in 2020 before COVID-19 postponed our event. I’ve been busy planning every detail of our wedding with a team of professional and creative wedding vendors, and can’t wait to refine our vision for our new date in 2021.
At the same time (as if I wasn’t busy enough!), Will and I purchased a fixer-upper in Ottawa to renovate and turn into an income property. We took an outdated, cigarette-scented bungalow and transformed it into a modern, upscale duplex. While the main floor of the house is rented, we still need to renovate the basement into a luxurious one-bedroom for a lucky tenant!
search & display advertising instructor
I speak very highly of my experience taking the Digital Marketing Certificate hosted by the Telfer School of Business and Soshal; it even landed me an internship with Soshal and my current job at Versature! I was lucky enough to be invited to teach the summer 2020 cohort’s module on Search & Display Advertising. While I was nervous to be teaching virtually on such a complicated and nuanced subject, I ended up having a blast! In student feedback, students were “extremely likely” to recommend my module to a friend or colleague, gave me a 4.9/5 for instructor/module fit, and an overall 4.8 out of 5 stars.
